The Lowdown: Valentines Day is just around the corner and this year you might want to do more than help your kids make heart shape cards from red construction paper.
1. Rookie Moms recommends customizing your baby’s onesie with a message for you partner, with some iron-on letters or make them yourself on your computer and print them on iron-on paper.
2. Candy themed projects will make your kids smile and satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth. Make a Candy Cupid Arrow with a pack of gum, gummy heart and wooden kitchen skewer. Or recycle your old baby food containers and decorate them with a Valentine theme, then fill with heart candy.
3. Tissue papers flowers are an easy project that only requires coloured tissue paper and pipe cleaners. For a variation try this flower.
4. Cupcake Goodies, from Martha Stewart, are small and sweet. Kids can make their own variations and each Valentine is one of a kind.
5. Heart Bookmark is another good one from Martha. I like this one because whoever your kids give it to can use it all year round.
Come back next Tuesday for five more fun Valentines projects!
