~ MP Danish Non-Skid Socks, $8.95, Amazon.com. This Danish company makes striped no-skid socks that could even help make your child smarter. Instead of regular treads on the bottom MP uses ones in the shape of numbers to keep the socks from slipping. 

~ For boys, I Kid’s Size Animal Non Skid Socks , $6.99, Absolute Ties. Not only are the socks bright and colorful, but there are so many animals to choose from--monkeys, geckos, koalas, and elephants—oh my!
