What We Say: Alot of kid’s furniture is very time-limited. Cots become too small, miniature desks are soon dwarfed by growing kids. And before you know it you have a room full of furniture that’s too small or childish for a growing kid. Wouldn’t be nice to have some items that you can continue to use even when your kid’s is graduating from high school? In case you haven’t noticed, here at The Budget Bambino we’re fans of Ikea.
Forsiktig Stool - My dad gave this stool to my daughter. She stands on it and peers over the sink to watch me do dishes. I find myself stepping up on it to grab things off high shelves and I realize that this is going to be around the house long after my daughter can see over the edge of the sink.
Nöje Storage Baskets - I use these as laundry baskets for my room and my kid’s room. They are cheap (3 for $4.99), can be knocked around and won’t get damaged, and are neutral enough to be used in an adult or children’s room.
Nöje Bed Storage Box - Under your kid’s bed is bound to turn into a mess of random items as they get old. This under bed box can be wiped clean and it’s not likely you’re child is going to grow out of such simple colors.
Buy It: In-store at Ikea.
