What: Wear your vote on your sleeve.
What we say: With the Democratic and Republican conventions over and the nominations accepted, the 2008 Presidential race is heating up. Kids may not be able to vote, but they can start getting involved in the political process by showing their support for the candidate they would want sitting behind the desk in the oval office. Good practice for when they get to vote as adults, we say!
Kids are getting more involved in the issues that this election is all about, namely the “go green” movement, so, here are some fun clothing items for kids to show their electoral support.
For support of specific candidates, we like this John McCain t-shirt ($18.99) on CafePress. The design is simple but still looks hip, featuring McCain’s smiling face and “John McCain for President” in red.
For Obama-supporters, this“Kids for Obama” t-shirt ($15) on the candidate’s online store features a fun rainbow-colored kid-drawn look. The shirt comes in blue, white, or pink.
Or, go the party route with these stars and stripes donkey or elephant t’s from Café press. The Lil Democrat T ($21.99) features a light-colored, vintage-inspired red and blue donkey, http://t-shirts.cafepress.com/item/lil-democrat-donkey-kids-tshirt/63598949 and the “Wee Republican” T ($18.99) features a baby red elephant playing with a blue star.
We also like this cheeky voting shirt (no party lines here!) we found on Megashopolis, that reads “I’m too Young to Vote, What’s Your Excuse?”($16).
