What The Experts Say: Jamie Ross from the Doneger Group predicts green, green, and more green, “"Green signifies the whole eco-friendly movement.”, which is still coming up strong in materntiy and children’s fashion. Also, expect to see a return to preppy-cool, bringing in riding jackets, boat stripes, and border piping. In terms of colour, expect to see alot of the same warm, soft, fall palette but with some more deep purples, bright yellows and vibrant greens thrown in. And of course, TV and movie characters are still making their mark all over kid’s fashion.

What We Say: I’m thrilled that the eco trend is sticking strong. Also, the palettes are just what I want, staying as far as away as possible from pink and purple for girls and blue and brown for boys. Mix it up a little! BabyStyle’s new spring line has some great ideas. However, I’m not thrilled about the characters. Do we really need our kids to be turned into walking brand billboards for Disney?
