Do Organic Clothes Really Make A Difference?: Reader Tip

The Lowdown: Organic children’s clothings tends to be a two-fold subject. First of all, the organic and eco-friendly clothes tend to be made in more ethical work environments that adhere to Fair Trade regulations. You don’t really want to be dressing your kid in clothes that may have been made in dubious working conditions. More and more companies are realizing that’s isn’t no longer acceptable to turn a blind eye. Secondly, organic clothing is usually much softer to touch. Children have pretty sensitive skin and the amount of chemicals that are used in traditional children’s clothes can cause a skin reaction, especially in babies.
What We Say: It’s understandable that some parents are suspicious of the green trend in kid’s fashion. However, as we learn more and more about our impact on the environment and about children’s development and skin condition, children’s organic clothing actually makes alot of sense. There are cases after cases showing that certain children’s skin conditions improve when wearing organic clothing. And yes, you will be coming across more and more companies that sell organic baby clothes. This is a trend that’s not going away any time soon. Check out The Budge Ecoist to find out more about organic fashion in general.
